Lava “block” emilt red♦️ light. And there isn’t much other lights sources around, so, the only light the slime can reflect is red. If there were white lighting sources, around he would be reflecting more green. White contains all colours. Red only contains red.

Do you have any painted blocks around? Because a slime landing on a painted block will change to that color now.

That slime is obviously purple.
