Not entirely sure but it seems possible that you accidentally activated your elytra and got hit into a wall by the dragon?

That seems like a glitch. The dragon doesn’t do that much damage, and you clearly weren’t flying when you died.
The only thing I can think of to explain this in a legitimate manner is that maybe the dragon’s damage is velocity based and you accidentally started flying, it booped you once to knock you away but got you again while you were super fast. Then once more after you were dropped low. All in that fraction of a second.

Definitely a glitch, prolly similar to how that one blue YouTuber lost his world. If you’re attached to that world, I’d consider starting from a backup, maybe changing to survival if you want. Just doesn’t seem worth it to lose so much to a bug.

my best guess is that you accidently pressed space and started flying with the elytra and then instantly after that got unlucky with dragon rng and got flung VERY fast into the bedrock foutain next to you.
so either just very bad rng or a bug with one of your mods.

I’ve popped quite a few totems to running to the dragon while flying with an elytra and getting teleported into an obby pillar from the kb but ive never died to it, only 1 pop.

If you were spamming jump, you might have entered fly mode and taken a shit-ton of damage off of the dragon collision in consecutive ticks? Seems glitchy though because invincibility ticks didn’t seem to have any effect…

Is it possible you were Spamming or double tapped jump, I see you slow fall at the end and unless you have slow falling (which you don’t in the vid) it kinda seems like you accidentally activated your elytra. After that the dragon did its crazy knockback thing but you were flying so it just pushed you at the pillar you were next to Mach 10, doing two ticks of damage. I don’t really see how youd have got that slow falling if it wasn’t from your elytra.

I don’t think it’s a glitch. I think you accidentally activated your elytra while jumping to hit the dragon (which you should never do btw), took the damage from the dragon, then got launched into the end fountain bedrock pillar while flying which killed you again after the totem from “kinetic energy.”

I think you lagged and thats why you couldnt hit the dragon. That fly into the iron bars probably killed you and popped the totem and then the dragon hit you and you got killed instantly when the lag caught up

Dragons knock back is likely similar to ravagers, the closer you are the more powerful it is.

i too lost my longest hardcore world through a dragon instakill a few years ago. moral of the story NEVER use an elytra while fighting the dragon

Ya that’s not normal. In a situation like that I would have no issues with “cheating” and respawning with console commands, because something was clearly broken.

I guess it could be delayed damage from when you hit those iron bars. It seems like you didnt take much when hitting them, so lag mightve just delayed it till after you died to the dragon??
