I'm a huge minecraft fan since i was 11. But I've got tired from it and retired (not quit, retired. one cannot quit minecraft). Found this on instagram and seriously love to play something with this vibe
Looks like skyrim (another game that you never quit, just take breaks)

That was the feeling of the unknown. Now that you know every bit of this game, you won’t fear nothing, for there is nothing beyond your knowledge. Install a few mods for new content. And suddenly you will be scared again

You don’t miss old Minecraft as technically it never left, you miss how YOU FELT during that time

big globe or jjthunder and then a lot of structure mods meaby and having a rpg datapack
Vintage story has reignited my love for this sort of survival game. It is much more involved when it comes to survival mechanics, and the fantasy aspects of the game are a nice flavor of subtle horror. A rainy night with nothing but a torch and a bronze sword matches some of these pictures decently well

If you want something more structured, Elden Ring.
If you want something closer to Minecraft with procedural worlds, Valheim.

Valheim. It’s Minecraft with a similar pixelated style but with more curves and Viking themed. Also combat is a relatively simple stamina based souls system which is a massive W imo compared to Minecraft’s
