So I was looting an end city when suddenly the water I was using to scale the buildings froze. This hadn’t ever happened to me before so I was confused, and when I went back the infinite water source I had used in the dragon fight was frozen too. But I was fighting the dragon for a good half hour and it hadn’t frozen then. Is there any reason why this happened or have I just had weird luck to avoid any of my water freezing?

It’s classed as a [cold biome](https://minecraft.wiki/w/The_End_(biome)).
Are your boots enchanted with Frost Walk perhaps? It hasn’t happened to me before, but maybe I just didn’t spend enough time with water in the End before.
