I understand these update drops are small and nothing crazy, but at least we’re getting frequent ones instead of waiting yearly. We should be glad this game is still getting updated

They are also making big changes to things like rendering engine, which is less noticable, but paving the way to other things, so I’d say that these small drops are just something to tide us over.

The code and rendering engine beneath the game is being improved.
It’s definitely worth having smaller “content” drops so that time can be spent making the game run smoother and faster.
And in the long term it’s easier to develop the game.

Minecraft did 1 big update each year and people complained that it’s too long between updates. They decide to switch to multiple small updates each year for all the people complaining and get hate for having minimal content in the more frequent updates
