This is not a joke, I actually saw that happen. I am sorry but Marketplace Add-ons are a complete scam and no one should be buying them, especially since all of them are literal slop or copies of Java mods.

“All” of them? Are you sure? Have you even spent more then 5 minutes on there? Ever heard of actions and stuff?

There are plenty of good ones on the marketplace. But I usually just download my addons on mcpedl anyway

The worst part is when the Bedrock Marketplace ‘creators’ strsight up copy and steal the work of Java modders. Have seen it plenty enough. That is enough of a reason for me to stay clear from the Marketplace and not spend a dime there.
Edit: Additionally, we have to keep in mind, that it is hypocritical as hell. When Java modders try to monetize their work, Microsoft gets all worked up because it is ‘against their policy’ or some shit. But at the same time they are running the fucking Marketplace on Bedrock. It‘s sickening.

While I absolutely love Java mods and free content, I will say that creators being able to monetise their work through the marketplace is fundamentally a good thing. People need money to support their art. It’s not all “slop” like you say, there’s lots of really awesome stuff being made by people who pour in hundreds of hours. It’s crazy how entitled some Java players are about demanding every mod-creator work for free.

Yes there is slop but not all of them
Patpat addon, naturalist addon, hamsters+ addon, RLcraft, suplimenteries addon, mowzie’s mobs addon, biomes o plenty addon, cave dweller addon, the one who watches addon, tinker’s construct addon, waystones addon
all of those are official ports of the respective java mods the mod creators just hired marketplace creators, not all of it is stolen
I bet 10 emeralds that you only looked at the marketplace for like 3 minutes or something
Not let’s hear you talk bad about needing to pay for the full version of physics mod or how there is something like minecoins in essential mod, I’ll be waiting
