I will never understand why people call Clint stalker for this
seriously, how can you read this dialogue and conclude that he's stalking emily. he's socially awkward, and you don't need to like him, he's not my favorite either, but calling this stalking? for real?

During the reckoning a lot of people had about Clint after the marriage announcement, I was regularly asking people to tell me when he stalks Emily. And so many people pointed to this. I started sending them the screenshots and asking what about this is stalking behavior. The number of people who have blocked me has astronomically increased since that marriage update announcement…

I don’t think he’s a stalker he just weirds me out. Idk how old emily is meant to be but it feels like a “20 year old girlfriend with her 47 year old boyfriend” scenario. And he’s just really… pathetic about it. He seems to like her so much that he’s terrified at leaving the wrong impression on her, but he also seems to barely have anything in common with her from what i’ve seen besides an interest in pretty rocks. It just feels like he’s disproportionately too obsessed with her compared to anything that they seem to actually have the ability to bond over.
To be honest, her general above average love or everyone would make a good match for his low self esteem but the game doesn’t really bring those two points together enough for it to be anything intentional. The closest it comes to it is clint participating in the dressing therapy thing but he leaves that scene with a “ah she likes you, welp, good job on getting the prize” type of energy i just don’t fuck with
