It’s been a while but I think once you discover a weapon you can just buy it from the mercenary’s shop or whatever it’s called. Don’t know difference in price though.

Actually, not a bad loss, you can just get it back from Marlon and it isn’t worth that much.
It is a decent sword but I prefer the insect head for early game.

My girlfriend managed to die on her first ever trip to the mines and lost the rusty sword before she had killed the 10 slimes and unlocked the adventures guild. I had to go in and get the slime kills with the axe lol

Bone sword is better for the part of the mines you get this anyway, the shadow guys are fast enough to walk through the obs edge, but not the bone sword (uncommon from from.the skeletons) also the insect sword you get from killing bugs, same stats but slightly slower than bone sword
