meanwhile ive been struggling to just make it to the end for over a decade because I cannot commit to a survival world for very long at all, and the overwhelming feature bloat sure isnt helping (some of the features they add are pretty neat, but its just been overwhelming causing me to give up on worlds and id prefer less frequent larger updates that I can adjust to more easily)

Tbf, minecraft has never been “hard”, but it isn’t supposed to be either. It’s a game for children.

I think Minecraft is a *rather* easy game. You can definitely increase the difficulty to make it harder tho.
It’s not exactly trivial either tho. It can be unforgiving.

Exactly. Throw a player with <2 years of Minecraft experience on a hard world and they’re never making it to the ender dragon fight. Throw a player who has been playing for 5+ years in a normal world and of course they’re going to think it’s easy.
