Hi, I just started playing stardew again and wanted to confirm that I can plant these ancient seeds before donating to Gunther.
When I was doing research online about ancient seeds, it mentioned that you need to give Gunther an actual ancient seed (not the packet) then he will grant you a seed packet as a reward. Then you can start growing them.
I just want to make sure that I can use packs acquired from the seed maker instead, and will have no trouble growing them even before doing this donation.
Yes, I know this is a dumb question but I need reassurance before planting in the greenhouse.

Yes, that’s one of the ways to get ancient seed packets before finding the artifact version.
There is an end game machine that can turn ancient seed packets back into the artifact as well. Which is an option if you somehow get to that point before donating it to the museum.
You don’t have to wait! They’ll grow like usual even before donating the artifact.
