1. It’s winter. You can only grow certain things and it’s not much.
2. These look like mixed winter seeds and they aren’t dead that’s just how they grow.

If you mean the brown ones on the picture, they’re actually doing well and thriving! There are some seedlings that look brown while growing.
If you mean the question in general, maybe you just forgot to water them, since you still need to do that, even in winter!
Also to make sure you only remove dead plants, or to check that those plants are dead indeed, just use the scythe!

In case you’re wondering, that’s how dead crops look like:
They all share the same yellowish khaki color, any crop with different colors is alive and well.
Also, using a scythe on dead crops will make them disappear, but healthy crops will remain, so if you’re ever unsure, just swing your scythe and you’ll know.

They’re not dead lol
they look fine to me! if they are dead they are a yellow muddy green and the leaves go down and out in all different directions.
These things always look like turkeys to me. Just a field of roasted turkeys.
