How long does it take to casually achieve Perfection in Stardew Valley?

with the 10 year anniversary of Stardew Valley approaching I wanted to challenge myself to finally achieve the ultimate goal in the game;
so here’s spring/summer year 1 of an average player crawling her way to that perfection summit

  1. After getting inspired to play again from the 10 year anniversary video and finding this series, I can happily announce I achieved your Year 1 goals by Spring 3 of year 2. I did manage to get a red cabbage from traveling cart even though I DIDN'T CHECK OFF THE GUARANTEED OPTION in the menu. What held me back was not getting the greenhouse fast enough for the 3 apples in Marnie's bulletin bundle, and not having enough money to buy apple trees in time for them to grow in its proper season. Oh and not getting pigs until winter 15 since my barn upgrade wasn't fast enough to get pigs before then. So they grew up just before I could finally open the barn door for springtime.
    Not sure what your Year 2 goals are looking like but I am just coasting now, trying to get junimo huts and dreading Ginger Island. Putting that off as much as possible since having to manage two separate land masses is usually where I end up quitting.

  2. This is such a fun playthrough!! Your commentary style is really funny, and the things you pointed out were so relatable lol. Can't wait to hop over to the next video!

  3. I started with those goals in one year too, then I got to be serious after watching haboo and got fully upgraded tools and buildings by end of summer and have all of community center pretty much done except the rainbow shell. And I was done with most of this in spring, thanks to catfish. It’s CRAZY what you can do with smokers and bait makers man (not bragging this is just a game and just for fun to push and see where you can get, I’m not a speedrunner lol no hate anywhere I watched the video and loved it)

  4. How do you not have more subscribers?? I’ve watched so many stardew valley videos and this is the funniest thing I’ve watched in so long. The voiceovers? Chaotic energy? 10/10

  5. I spent 2 hours watching her play a game I don't even own. This was the most entertaining video I have watched in a very long time. I am not sure I will be playing the game but I am sure I will continue watching you play it for sure.

  6. dear, DEAR gabscongo, think you could post a picture of your farm in the intro of the video? i think it looks so cute i need an inspiration im too lazy to design my farm

  7. My son introduced me to Stardew Valley six months ago. I love it. I’m on my sixth farm and have, with difficulty, reached perfection on all of them (I’m a bit of a perfectionist, sadly). The first time it took me ten in-game years, the last one (the beach ) took me four in-game years, so I’m slowly improving! 😊 My main mistake in the earlier farms was not buying/acquiring all the crafting recipes so having to wait a whole other year for them. I forgot Gus has a Ginger Island recipe and twice forgot Pierre's flower dance recipe!

  8. I find it so funny how in one moment you know exactly what you're doing and the next moment it's like you're playing for the first time 😂
