I remember back in around 2018, I also noticed a stranger player attempting to dress up like my avatar. I was a bacon wearing a few limited accessories at that time, and his avatar was almost suspiciously similar.
He had a completely different username though (and that time there was no display name), and I noticed him possibly because he was my follower.
