How many of you guys make actual houses? I’ve been making wood block houses for my whole life

I’d say a vast majority of players at least tried to make something.
Not that there’s anything wrong what making a dirt box but yeah.

If you still enjoy the game despite… this – go for it. Me for my part enjoy the aesthetics you can achieve by building.

  3. I try to build something more nice everytime but end up with a wooden block anyway 😭

My survival single player house is mostly inside a cliffside with just the front being a house wih a roof ahah

  5. Once I’m far into the game and have access to more resources I will build a (usually elaborate) central base, but there’s nothing wrong with a simple wooden structure.

I dont, I build my bases underground. Down there, all that matters is how it looks inside, and expanding it is easier.

I just go with the vibe, I start with the structure, make the roof and then decor

I personally build inside the nearest mountain and keep digging inside if I need more space. If I want smtb pretty I js make the entrance a little bigger and a pillar or smth idk🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

  9. I always make a decently shaped/sized house, with an unfinished open second floor

    Roofs are hard

i like building with limited palettes so i usually live in a hole for the first 3 days or so and then build something out of the stuff i found which is probably my favourite part out of the usual few week Minecraft phase since the longer you play the more options for building you get and that tends to get overwhelming real quick also late game MC is usually just a grind fest anyways

This is my go-to every time! Has to be a traditional house with the roof and all!

An easy upgrade is to just put a roof. Its the same box but with extra steps. Also what I’ve found is you can try and make a random assymetric outline out of overlaping rectangles and that ends up looking decent

I find an ocean create an island off some kelp then lava cast 300 block tall walls with intermittent gaps

  14. Atualmente eu nasci em uma vila e acabei fazendo uma base subterrânea para otimizar o tempo de mineração

i usually have a temporary house until i can get a proper chest room built, then i like to build something big once i have that sorted storage space.

  16. Weird question, but you said you tend to move around a lot. How do you continue carrying all your stuff everywhere? Or do you leave a lot behind?

I’m really enjoying seeing how many other fellow mole people are on here.

Granted, I build huge, elaborate things underground… I’ve got an entire sand city under my sand castle that is over a thousand blocks in every direction and extends all the way down to bedrock, and it is always growing. Each house is decorated and different from its neighbors. There are gardens, waterfalls, a giant library with enchanted books, so many farms, art installations, animals, storefronts, and more. It really sucks, though, if I miss properly securing a spot and somehow a zombie spawns. You learn real fast how quickly the zombie plague can spread when you have hundreds of villagers, and that even well-enchanted armor don’t mean nothing when there’s a crowd of those green beasts hunting you down.

But, as far as building, start playing with the different blocks. Use trap doors to create trimming on the edges of the roof, stairs to create roof tiles, use different blocks to texturize your house. Even if you’re only settling in a spot for a tiny while before moving onto the next, it’s nice to have somewhere that’s aesthetically pleasing and if you come back across it on accident, it’s always fun to see if your skills have developed or just nostalgic reasons.

I have worked my way up to adding windows and stairs for a roof. But still a very simplistic player.

  19. I make nice high effort houses, but I also enjoy building giant industrial warehouses that basically are a scaled up version of this.

  20. I usually make basic wood houses with a triangular roof. Sometimes, I’ll make glass houses with glass blocks, and I’ll still put window panes in the wall as “windows” even though the whole thing is already made out of glass.

bro ? i just plop a few dozen chest on the ground, a bed and that’s my base. i DO build big stuff, i just never finish it and never move in

I’ve only been playing for a few weeks but I have dozens of little shacks all over the place with a bed, crafting table, and chest. I usually will put windows in because I like watching the monsters at night. I tried building a fancy building but it’s really a multi level shack. I did add a fire place though so it’s cozy.

  23. I usually set up in a random hole first, then plan out some awesome mega project, start building it, get bored of getting resources and continue living in my hole…
