So I was just exploring, and came across this really sad village with just one house and a weapon smith. Looked around a bit, even underground thinking it might be a part of a bigger village, but nope.

This is the first time I’m seeing such a village 😂.

Luckily, the village I spawned in is roughly 350-400 blocks away, with direct river access. Should I “convince” him to come with me?

The villager heard legend of an adventurer named Steve and wanted to live his life just like him. He’s gearing up to fight the ender dragon

  2. The village rendering engine needs some work. Most villages I encounter are janky with segments scattered down cliffs, villagers trapped in ravines, etc.

I don’t mind helping fix up a little here and there, but a lot of these are just impossible to try to salvage.

  3. This reminds me of the post where the woman was astonished that a man could live with only a TV and a game system on the floor with one chair.

A hermited weapons nut in an off-the-grid house… you didn’t find a loner, you found a libertarian prepper!

Did you not notice the Gasden flag, the “Tresspassers will be shot with a crossbow” sign, or the 9 different security cameras covering their entranceway?

Welcome to the flaws of the generation algorithm.

Yeah, this could genuinely be the entire village. However there are a couple of places to explore to see if it’s truly the full extent of the village: the top of the mountain (which you have mentioned in other posts that you checked already), and the cave systems nearby (no I’m not kidding, I have seen time and again a village that was partially buried in the side of a mountain face and had a severe lack of villagers because of the constant zombie attacks during daylight hours).

If this is the whole village, get the guy onto a boat and get him to a better village setup so he can have some more friends. This can lead to generating iron golems, which really help keeping villages safe from mobs and wandering illager raiders. Make sure you break both his bed and work site so he doesn’t try to return back here and get killed in the middle of nowhere.
