Got my bestie into Stardew and she had 28 hours of playtime in 2 days before she told me “I’m marrying Elliott. He has long hair like me, and plays the piano like me. Perfect man😆😆”
I’m currently in the middle of an experiment in which I marry all of the bachelors, stay with them for about a year to evaluate them and then divorce them to try the next and in the end I’ll determine who’s my favorite. Here are my findings so far:
Shane: I like his arc, but he’s not my type as a husband. There were too little romantic moments and dialogue and too little affection in my opinion
Alex: As a female farmer, I married him with zero expectations. He turned out to be surprisingly sweet though. He’s probably not my favorite, but better than expected. Pre-marriage he’s kinda meh though
I still have to test the others. Harvey is up next
and of course the taoist i am will add that alex story is always better with the male farmer (everyone is thinking that). it’s one of my fav trope the "totally straight" guy falling for a guy and questioning his life
I started playing stardew valley recently and was hoping to go for Sebastian or Abagail, but accidentally developed 3 hearts with Alex, and I ended up getting really attached to him because I ended up seeing him literally everyday and gave him gifts, and now im at 6 hearts so far :,)
I know alot of people diss on Harvey because he still charges you after your married when you pass out or get hurt in the mines, but like logically it doesn't make sense for him to stop charging you. He's doing his job as a doctor, using resources that cost a LOT of money. If you went to the emergency room and got emergency surgery IRL, and you were married to the surgeon who performed on you. They wouldn't just discount or wave the bill JUST because your married to them, they would give you the same bill as everyone else. The same goes for Harvey, he can't just stop charging you every single time because then he'll lose money. It just doesn't make sense for people to be angry about that. I've seen people make BILLIONS of gold in just a season, heck I know I do in multiple of my saves.
