I mean this guy's humility is on another level. Its his mindset that really made the game what it is and why our community is so connected.

They don’t care about any of that, they just want clicks. Modern journalism is more of a cesspool than ever before.

  2. Next headline: “ConcernedApe SLAMS gaming journalists in fiery Twitter tirade!”

  3. The thing is, he tweets too rarely for gaming sites to do anything else. The articles wouldn’t draw clicks if he tweeted ~daily. He’s totally right to be annoyed, but the system is what it is.

  4. Let’s see how many of them end up respecting this, starting with this tweet lol

  5. Every tweet from anyone even remotely related to gaming = a 300 word article that can generate views, SEO, and ad revenue. That’s all they care about.

If it helps, game journalism is like 80% AI with an editor for proofreading at this point anyway.

  6. As someone who used to work in entertainment media, yes, they do have to write an article every time he tweets. It’s what their content manager will assign them, and they’ll request a title that makes it sound like he’s announcing a major update or a new game.

That’s what the media has become. It sucks.

Not to sound like a jerk, but the fact that this sub makes a Reddit post every time ConcernedApe tweets kinda makes us part of the problem as well.

  8. I can’t really fault them for it? Its a job all the same and quite often in the journalism business you have to scrape together things to get those daily article deadlines met.

OP running to amplify a year old tweet which asks people to stop amplifying everything he says lol

  10. Bit of a tangent but “this guy’s humility is on another level” is a very funny thing to say
