I Played Minecraft Peaceful Mode

People across the internet are consistently fighting about whether playing Minecraft in peaceful mode is “actually” playing Minecraft. Minecraft is a sandbox game, there is no playing it “right” so today for the first time I will be trying out a world where I play in peaceful mode.

  1. Peaceful mode is beatable, you only need a 12 eye portal so a curated seed is needed if that is your goal but other than that you get to enjoy Minecraft without a care in Peaceful.

  2. I play normal survival now but I used to play peaceful mode exclusively when I first started. Building at night is something I love to do, and I miss being able to do it without any anxiety lol… but pro tip: FISHING with a fishing rod can get you string, bones, rotten flesh (for some reason lol) and other things. It's nice to see someone play peaceful mode and not be hateful about it. It's just another way to play! 🙂

  3. I love this. I have been waiting for someone to play in peaceful and just chill. It is so relaxing. I do what a lot of others said, which is start in peaceful and then switch over to normal once I am geared up and feel safe. I play on switch right now so combat can be difficult at the start. Please make a part 2! ❤

  4. I play mostly on peaceful. That being said, I’ll switch to hard for zombie villager curing and will still build mob farm for when I need them. The only reason I play on peaceful is because I primarily build and I long ago, I got fed up with creepers. Switched to peaceful and never looked back. But there are things – as you mentioned – that I don’t wanna miss out on. Bone block, elytra, etc. Like a previous commenter said, that’s the beauty of Minecraft. You can play how you want. There are no rules.

Edit: love the waxfraud mention. lol

Edit #2: cats don’t run away from you in peaceful. I have all the cats. 😅

Love that you tried peaceful! You’re right, it can be lonely at times. Especially in the nether. But I think I build enough or have given myself enough to do, I don’t typically notice. Alright, no more edits. Nice video my guy!

  5. Oh hey! I have worlds in all difficulties in Minecraft. Peaceful is definitely underrated and has its own unique challenges. You can make iron farms in peaceful in Java. It is actually the simplest iron farm ever. You just need five villagers instead of three. Also, as others have said, there are other ways to get hostile mob drops. Fishing, looting chests, and bartering with piglins. Piglins do spawn in peaceful. It’s kind of a fun challenge in its own right since you can’t rely on farming hostile mobs. It’s chill and you can really focus on builds. Also, if you add mods or change the mode to get blaze rods, you can go to the end, kill the dragon, and get shulkers and elytras. Annnnd yah, you can still die. It’s just harder.

I typically play with the peaceful hunger mod and some light mods to get blaze rods.

  7. People who say easy mode isn’t faithful to the game don’t realise their own logic can be used against them. Their main point is that it changes the game too much, and therefore isn’t the ‘real’ game. So, according to their logic—hardcore is just as unfaithful to the ‘real’ game as peaceful is. Any variation is a wrong variation in order for their logic to make any sense. Otherwise, they’re just complaining that other people are just different from them—which is a messed up argument.

I’ve never played peaceful, but there’s nothing ‘wrong’ with it. It’s just a game mode. People just need to chill out, and not get so damn prideful for literally no reason.

Minecraft is a game that promotes individual experiences, so each individual has something fun to do regardless of how they enjoy playing. That’s the vibe, and it’s working out really well considering the game’s popularity over the years.

I’m not telling anyone to be kind and wholesome or whatever—I’m saying people look stupid when they say stuff like “you’re not a real Minecraft player if you play on peaceful.” I mean… come on. That’s just begging to be called an idiot. Dumb as a brick, and as needlessly prideful as a small dog with a stick too large to fit its mouth.

So yeah. Just accept people like what they like. It doesn’t have to be so complicated.

  8. Sometimes I forget the beauty of Minecraft, usually I’ll js try to get the best farms, gear, and base and I never rlly take a break and look at the beautiful landscape of Minecraft. It truly is, a roundabout path.

  9. I play strictly peaceful because I play on bedrock. The skeletons are crazy. I’m not out here getting pulled out of a creative flow because one zombie saw me and then called all his buddies in a ridiculous radius to come get me, or hear a hissing sound coming to destroy me and all my work. The shields don’t work the same either.

  10. I’m spamming at this point but this is super interesting to me 😂 I’ve never thought about how people don’t play peaceful and don’t know what works and doesn’t. Half of the questions you’ve asked I myself am not even sure about 😂 I know membranes can be brought by cats also. So I get pets to feel less lonely. Iron golems spawn in villages, at least in bedrock. The mechanics are a bit different. I know you can’t get totems in peaceful because mansions won’t spawn illagers if they load in while you’re in peaceful mode, even after you switch. The dragon spawns, which someone mentioned. Just no endermen. But I’d never gone beyond that in peaceful mode. I’ll switch modes, but I’m not cut out for hardcore at all. I’m mostly in it for building, but creative gets boring too fast. I still need a challenge of at least gathering stuff.
