I started playing like yesterday and I had no idea about these kinds of events and these things are all I have🥹

Do I just not go at all?🥹

  1. If you’re decent as fishing, a gold star sturgeon from the lake is a great choice, you can catch them all summer.

Always go to the Luau, even just talking to all the people (with no time constraint) can give you a nice boost in friendship.
The carrot, the silver quality grape and the gold quality spice berry both give you a “good response” (+60 friendship with everyone), which is cool!
The regular potato and the fiddlehead fernwould have no effect while the sweet pea (of any quality) would be a disaster! (-50 friendship with everyone).

This is the sort of thing that keeps me glued to the wiki. I can’t stand a lacklustre reception to the soup unless it’s because I put the purple pants in it.

Now I keep a stash of gold star cauliflowers for the Luau. What am I saying? I keep a stash of literally everything.

My first luau, I only had a energy bar on me . . . . . I am sure we can guess how that went. I now fish up a gold super cucumber and keep it in my chest just for this day.

  5. So there’s 5 responses you can get based on what you put in the soup: best (+120 friendship), good (+60 friendship), neutral (nothing), bad (-50 friendship), and worst (-100 friendship).

With your current items, you can get a good response (+60 friendship), but just in case you have an item that can get you a “best” response, here’s the link so you can see if you have any of those items: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Luau

The carrot, silver grape, and gold spice berry will get you a “good” response. If you’re debating which of these three to put into the soup, I’d say the carrot.

    – If you don’t have a horse and/or don’t need it for the spring remixed bundle, I’d put in the carrot since it’s only worth (60g) and doesn’t really have any other purpose (no quests or crafting recipes).

    – The grape is worth (100g), is a loved item by Vincent, is used in CC bundles, can be crafted into wild seeds, is sometimes requested as a quest, and can be made into raisins for junimos later on (worth hoarding). Since grapes have a lot more use, I’d keep it instead of using it for the soup.

    – The spiceberry is worth 120g, is used in CC bundles, can be crafted into wild seeds, and is sometimes requested for a quest. So it’s also pretty useful.
