MINING OVERHAULED: MINECRAFT JUST UPDATED DIAMONDS + NERFED EVERY ORE…
Minecraft Sulfur Caves are fire but they also provide a pretty giant change to mining that mojang seems to have overlooked. On one hand the addition of the Sulfur Caves is awesome but on the other it causes a big issue for caves and ore generation. How should mojang fix this?

i recorded this video right before the spikes were added this week so thats why there are none! the spike generation doesnt actually help ore generation though, it makes them even harder to spot 😅😅
how should mojang fix this issue?
10:37 Mojang would never add another ore set just for ONE biome to generate in, it contradicts their game design philosophy. In real life caves with high sulfur content tend to have less ores because acid dissolves them, so its only so logical for Mojang to keep these caves without ores, not only as a realism thing but also as biomes unique feature, since its going to be the first one without ores.
I think it generate too much sulfur blocks/patches into existing cave biomes, it should be more isolated to a real sulfur cave biome that doesn't bleed into other cave biomes. If they're going to leave generation like it is, they need to implement ore block variants
huuh??? no :')
If anything they could re-texture stone ores for sulfur and cinnabar. I would really like to see new ore blocks, especially since it adds cool new pallettes and would also fix the massive amount of ores that'll be missing because of the new caves.
you're actually genius in making titles that sound like a huge thing xD
I'd wish I had this talent too…
I will never get over the massive dripstone pillars 3:24 🤤🤤🤤
i hope they will either add thew new biome to ore generation sweep or not allow sulphur/ccinebar to overwrite the ore blocks
7:38 Are those magma blocks magma blocking? I didn't see the buubles. Why did they make these things so big? No wait I know why all these issues exist. It's for job security.
If they fix the generation of ores in Sulfur Caves, I think it's have to be creating new ore variants, meaning it would have to be sulfur or cinnabar with ores infused into it, and I'm not sure if that would look good. Althoguh, they might make sense to have ores in them, as they are a more mineral like block like the ores. Maybe gold and redstone should either not generate at all or only generate in the opposite color block to stand out more (gold in cinnabar, redstone in sulfur)?
Gold goes on cinnabar, and redstone goes on sulfur 👍
Can't they just make texture changes and allow ores to spawn normally?
Maybe they could make vain generation. Like in the real world when we find gold we find gold vains. These would be rare but add to the excitement and exploration of the game. With solving the problem of not having enough ore.
If they don't add ore blocks to the sulphur caves you would just know not to look for ore there and look somewhere else, it doesn't really waste your time so the amount of ore you get per minute isn't going to change much. And diamonds aren't hard to get so I don't think this is a worry. Also I saw some Josillia videos where she builds with the new blocks and I think Mojang are really cooking with the textures
also from a few (not loads) or worlds – they appear to have turned up the occurrence of the biome, (or i was just "lucky" on the biome/terrain ) so hopefully they will balance it out a bit before release- assuming this feedback is being made to mojang
There isn’t much that can be done to fix this without serious backlash. I was gonna suggest a new unique ore, to make new blocks out of, but most I could find was mercury which may not fit the best but idk.
Tester Wattles strikes again. It’s a very good point. It would be nice to have new ores though.
Just add the ores and exclude sulfur gold and cinnabar red stone.
I kind of hate this entire update
Yeah, this is a big problem. I don't even like sulphur or the update personally
And I definitely don't want it all in my face by being so abundant and disrupting the ore generation
And still no Concrete roof and Concrete stairs yet
Looks like the first thing i am doing is disabling poison spiders.
I think this is good as ores were way to common and i wanted the big caves to stay, so this is a good balance. This could make Minecraft harder like it used to be, especially if the villager trading rebalance is added
this feels like such a nonissue to me.
Diamonds are definitely a progression nightmare to fix. I would like to see them look into it, but it's going to be very difficult to find a good compromise that everyone agrees to.
The caves are so ugly in Minecraft. It’s not even biomes
well thats stupid…the ketchup and mustered shouldnt take over everything they really need to fix this before implementation, this should only rarly generate …like a shroom biome
I wonder just how many ore blocks are gone when the entirety of a single minecraft world is taken into account, it must be a gigantic number. Not that it matters like you're gonna run out of ore or anything, just something to think about.
fuck they are gonna kill so many worlds
Maybe add sulphur variants of the ores. The biome is beautiful but lacks an important part of MINEcract. Don’t remove anything, just combine them
I undersrand why we aren't getting a ore variant like deepslate for sulfur/cinnabar, as you should not heat them. But you could just make deepslate patches appear to house ores. Otherwise they effectively are the resource equivalent of a Mushroom Island.
worst update so far. what am i gonna do with a kirby slime? trigger pressure plates? so lame
well if this is gonna destroy mining its kinda game over man for Minecraft
Ty wattles
I loaded in the snapshot just to check it out and I really don’t like how common the silver caves are. It felt like they kinda took over everything
aww man😮
