I’m not sure of everything you can do with them other than putting them on signs around town, putting in the soup at the luau and returning them to Lewis. As far as I know you can use stairs in the mayors bedroom to get the purple shorts in basement an endless amount of times.

If you don’t want to give them back, you can drop them in the Luau soup or put them in your grange display at the fair
You can also put them in a fish tank for fun decoration
Use it as fishing bobber or display them at the fair.
If I remember correctly you can also wear them as a hat.
I *always* use them as my first bobber. I *hate* replacing bobbers and carrying them around so it’s an absolute must for me.
I’ll also trim them and wear a pair occasionally for shits and giggles after acquiring multiples lol
