Simple solution for the pet blocking the bed: Get a 2nd bed. That way, your pet can occupy your bed, and you have a bed to sleep on
You can walk through the pets though.

? In the game, my cat spends most of her time lying in my bed when I go to sleep, but she’s never stopped me from sleeping there.
