  1. and end stone is the same exact texture as cobblestone, just with all of the colors reverted.

  2. A lot of the old textures are reused/edited

    Stone -> Bedrock
    Cobblestone -> Netherrack, End Stone
    Wood -> Cactus
    Sand -> Clay
    (Sand texture is also used in the hotbar)

    And probably many more which I don’t know

  3. The old cactus texture was also the old oak log texture, but just tweaked to be green and prickly

  4. Old players (70% of people in this sub) know a lot of blocks were retextures of existing blocks

  5. Yes. Back in the day in versions without f3 coords, you could orient yourself in the world by looking at the L on the cobble and netherrack texture, useful for making nether corridors

  6. I see it but I need to try really hard to see it, I used to just see it as like a red gravel type thing.
