What Does 200% Ammo Conservation Do?
What happens in Terraria when you have over 100% ammo conservation?

the formula just says that each weapon/buff/etc that gives a chance to not consume ammo is calculated as a separate check.
so imagine you have one buff that gives a 50% chance not to consume ammo; for each shot, the game flips a coin, and if it lands on heads you don't use any ammo.
now you add a different buff that also gives a 50% chance not to consume ammo; for each shot, the game flips two coins, and if either one of them lands on heads then you don't use any ammo. there's still a 25% chance that both of them land on tails, so the overall chance you don't use ammo is only 75%, rather than 100%.
rather than one check with a 100% success rate, you have two checks with a 50% success rate, and you use ammo if both of them fail.
Very unfortunate that you don't explain the forula, its very simple and would have made you realize your mistake immediately by giving you a clear understanding of what was actually happening
Probably a bug
So this is just clickbait, since you can never reach 100%?
Yeah take 100 66 percent of 100 is 66 ur new ammo conversion rate now an additional 20% gets equipped it doesn’t get added to the previous 66%. It take the number 66 (because it’s 66% of 100) and does the math off of that number which is 13.2. Then another 20% let’s say comes out to like 9.something lol
My ranked teammates:
It stacks multipicatively not additively. Alternatively, you could think of it as separately rolling each of the chances and only consuming the ammo if none of them saved it.
You don't add percentages 🤦
You could just have said it's multiplicative, done, your audience aren't morons.
Does it technically cap at 99 percent?
No I won’t because of the wizard npc
If I read the formula right and did my math right, 200% ammo conservation is actually about 92.9% chance of not using ammo. Or (1-.66)*[(1-.2)^7)]=7.13% chance of consuming ammo.
Bro just doesn't want to do math 😂
"Its a formula so it can never reach 100%"? No, that is not what a formula is. The formula just says that they stack multiplicatively. 66% * 20% isnt 86% but instead 72.8%
Ok, ok, irei fazer com os de 3 minutos, ja coloquei no da espada. Ah, e me desculpem o atraso ok?

Ovos Quebrados🍳 (1 minuto):
1° Espada de esgrima🤺 – 50
2° Espada⚔ – 43
3° Lança🔱 – 31
Ovos quebrados🍳 (3 minutos)
1° Espada⚔ – 177
2° Frasco🧪 – 85
Tldr it’s multiplicative instead of additive scaling
Does ammo conservation work on coin gun lol
Isn't this just how probability work in general though?
What if you tap shoot?
If u have 4 items that have a 25% chance to not consume ammo then the chances of consuming ammo would be 75% of 75% of 75% of 75%, not 0%. (I'm assuming.)
Because the way it's calculated. It's doing 100-80%=20, 20-20%=4, 4-20%=.8 so it never gets to a true 0. I just started playing it a week ago and knew I liked it. Real mans math for this one 🤓
unless there was a smarter developer that made unlimited versions of the differant bullets and arrows.
WOW! ITS ALMOST AS IF THERES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ADDITIVE AND MULTIPLICATIVE CHANCES!
There's 3 ways devs don't let player reach 100% chance on something
1) asymptote (formula, where the value tends to some number, but never reaches it.)
2) separate check of each new addition to the value (basically what we see in terraria)
3) just make a cap of a stat. (the laziest way and the most boring)
