I thought this would be a pretty cool story to share here.
So I started Stardew in 2021, when 1.14 came out for Stardew mobile. Back then, I didn't have a credit/debit card, so my sibling bought one for me (I lived in a country where there's a local online payment that doesn't require a card, a context that's pretty important later). So I pretty much played until 2023, when update 1.15 finally came out for Stardew. It was Y5 winter for me by then, and I stopped playing because I started getting bored, and I had enrolled on a rather academically demanding uni course late that year. Since then, I have practically forgotten about Stardew, since I'm drowning in workload.
Late last year, I decided to download Steam and try to see if there were any free games that I can play, since most of my friends were playing on that platform (again, "free" games because I don't have a card for online payment). After a while, I came to realise that GrabPay was accepted for Steam. This is important because Grab accepts my local online payment to top up the in-app wallet, which means I can purchase games from Steam if I do local payment –> Grab wallet –> Steam.
So I decided to download some games, and I remembered that I had Stardew, so I downloaded it too. I created a new file and played for about 40 hours before wondering whether I could port my old file over (since I'm already at Y5 in the old file). Went to the Wiki and found out it was possible, so I ported it over.
After 170 hours on Steam and 278 hours on that world, I finally reached perfection in the same world. It's a weird journey. It took me 5 IRL years to get here, and 8 in-game years to reach perfection. And now I have both the Steam and mobile copy of the same world.
I took screenshots of both worlds to share with you guys what I'm seeing right now lol.
Anyways, thanks for reading. Been wanting to get this out of my chest
TLDR: I ported my old mobile game file to steam and achieved perfection, after 5 IRL years

How do you file transfer? I love the setup!
Am a be honest your farm looks so simple and that simplicity is just so perfect, it’s beautiful, if I were to have a river farm I’d expect mine to look like this and it just puts a smile to my face, congrats brother you’ve done it, now please rest as your letter will now be delivered to your grandchild to let this cycle continue.
