

image 1 is fine, works as intended
in image 2 if i drop something, it gets stuck in the bottom dropper and doesnt go to the second dropper, if the third dropper is removed then it works normally, the dropper stays powered when it should be

i can’t really see the difference could you circle it or something? also your pulse extender isn’t doing anything, try putting redstone where the torch is in the first photo and target block to the right of that
You’re making this way more difficult than it needs to be. I recommend looking up dropper elevators on YouTube and seeing which one you like best.
Classic case of locationality. This is a combination of dust update order and QC. That dropper is both directly powered and powered by QC by 2 different dust. The update order of that dust decides which power source turns off last. If the direct power turns off last the dropper unpowers correctly and is able to be powered again. If the QC power turns off last it doesn’t update the dropper so it stays powered which means it can’t get powered again and items will get stuck in it.
The update order is essentially random in different locations but the same location will always have the same order
