Is your name a dollar sign?
What’s your name supposed to be? The dialog system has token replacement, where certain special sequences are replaced with stuff like symbols, names, items, pronouns, etc.
what’s your in-game name, if you don’t mind sharing? it may be that the name is the same as a code which spawns the coin image when it’s presented. tbh, i think this is pretty cool hahah!
1. Any mod-related help will require your SMAPI log (you can Google how to obtain that).
2. Knowing what your name is supposed to be also helps
