Just a little rant. I am absolutely dreading moving all these chests to my newly built shed.
I did a complete overhaul and redecoration of my farm and decided to finally keep my chests inside a shed. But now, I'm faced with the massive task to move all these large chests inside the shed. Most of them are full, and some are more than half full.

I always stack as may speed buffs as I can for this task lol
You could always move your shed closer too, to make the distance smaller to run, then move it back afterwards.
If you’re open to modding, chests anywhere is a game changer for me its a little thing but it made the game so much less tedious
Im pretty sure you can push chests so you can at least move them to right outside the shed so its a short distance
When dreading the move are we talking about individually moving stacks of items from within the chest to the shed by running back and forth or just the act of moving stacks into the shed?
If the latter, just pickaxe the chests so that they are closer to the shed, thereby shortening the need to run back and forth
Hmm…not sure if you’re far enough along in the game. Maybe use those mini-obelisk so that you don’t have to walk far when transferring stuff between chests.
Edit: make an intermediary large chest inside of the shed, place the obelisk beside the shed, move stuff to the new chest. Pull out the old empty chest and repeat.

Hit your chest with your pickaxe ⛏️ over and over and it will move to wherever you want it to go. Moving it just outside of the shed that you’re gonna put them in, and then having another chest inside to move the contents into. That will probably be the fastest way. Just take one day to do one chest at a time. Don’t try to do it all at once- of course that is what would be overwhelming.
