Just started playing terraria this year and have started to really enjoy it. I'm currently about 20 hours into my first world and now am about to face the wall of death to get into hard mode! A little worried I'm unprepared for hard mode but looking forward to the challenge of harder bosses and enemies. I got this in the dungeon and I'm not sure if this is a good roll or if rng even changes for different weapons but was wondering which weapons I should be aiming for to help in hard mode, thanks for the help!

It’s okay, not the best but not the worst either
that thing got me through pre-hard mode
yes its great for wall of flesh, the piercing is especially helpful for the hungries (the wall’s minions)
this weapon is amazing against regular enemies, not so much against bosses. So it’s definitely got it’s uses for caving in early hardmode before your have a weapon
Aqua sceptre is actually pretty underrated as a weapon. It tends to be overshadowed by shadow chest gear in late prehardmode because you can go straight to the underworld from the dungeon and get a flamelash (and/or pick up a demon scythe if you haven’t already)
But if you need a weapon for hordes the aqua sceptre does respectable damage and pierces 5 targets. Its high attack speed can also stunlock some enemies which makes it easier to deal with them.

Amazing weapon, especially for wall of flesh. There’s an upgraded version called ’golden shower’ that you can obtain in hardmode
Is it really that hard to just put it in your hotbar and test it for yourself? Come on bro, live a little.
