I just started Stardew Valley like 5 days ago because I had extra money. I'm liking it and I don't even notice the time that passes lol.

The search function is your friend
that box next to your house is NOT for storage
Check the TV every day. Living Off The Land gives important tips and the daily luck can be a good indicator of whether it’s a good day to go to the mines.
Grow as much crops as you can and go mining if that’s your thing, you can get rich with the gems and ingots you can make, easy early game money when I first started playing
Also Star de Valley is such a fire name, has the same vibes as John Stardew lol
Did you already check **Always Show Tool Hit Location** and **Show Advanced Crafting Information** in Options? It helps a lot.
You can’t walk through squares where you’re growing green beans: don’t stack them in rows of 3 or more or you’re boned
Put a box next to every house and then put a bulk amount of favorite items inside [for ex: Elliot – bulk of pomegranates on beach and whatever Willis loves.] There’s certain gifts almost everyone love like fruits , flowers so you can make a lot of one thing and store them next to their house for easy access. Saves sooo much time
As soon as it’s 10pm HIGHTAIL IT TO YOUR HOUSE. Always be sure you’re near your house when it’s late. You WILL pass out and lose items if you don’t go to sleep on time.
It’s a videogame, you’ll need some sort of screen or monitor to play.
My biggest tip is play at your own pace.
Take your time and enjoy everything whenever you want. I know the days are technically “limited”, but there’s never a real rush. Also the wiki is your best friend whenever you’re unsure about literally anything. It has great info !

Temper your expectations for how many crops you can grow. Before sprinklers are available, daily watering can take up a ton of energy depending on how many crops you grow.
Tip: once you go attend a holiday celebration, that’s all you’re doing for the rest of the day. Afterwards it fast forwards to 10:00 p.m. at your house.
Get home before 1:40am so you don’t get robbed. Take your time and enjoy the game
Don’t sell to Pierre.
Always pay attention to the clock and get home before 12am or 1 am.
Don’t sell the extra resources build a chest and hoard them.
Keep the over grown grass until you have silos.
You aren’t obligated to finish the cc you can do the joja route which from what I’ve been told is actually better.
If you do want to go down the cc route you are NOT on a timer or a set limit go at your own pace or you will face some serious burn out.
Foraging is a good way to earn extra money.
If you don’t want to go to the flower dance alone Sam and Shane are very easy early game dance partners
Willy sells different fishing rods and bait
Im new myself only on my 3rd year and only just finished the community centre my advice focus on it for the first year sooner its done the better.
You will always have another chance. That quest, that crop, that item. It will come back of you miss it the first time. Don’t stress.
