Mastery only goes to 5. One level for each skill. If you haven’t, you might want to search the forest for a hidden entrance. It will make more sense then.

You have got all 5 mastery level this aren’t specific to any skill.now you can go to the cave and select all of them.these are permanent upgrades and are active simultaneously you don’t have to “switch” between them as you mentioned in other comment.
