I kind of get it, though.
As a kid living with my parents, my room was my sanctuary. It was *my* space, and it meant a lot to me to be able to decorate and hide away in.
As an adult though, with my own place, my room is just somewhere I sleep and keep all of my clothes. The whole house is where I live, and particularly in the living room.
