I swear, any game I see has a bunch of good drawings of it as the thumbnails. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT THE GAME LOOKS LIKE?? Why do they all do that? I know it would be to appeal to non-artists, but atleast add extra ACTUAL pictures as well!

Might be an artistic choice.
so that you check out the actual game instead of judging the book by it’s cover
a lot of games do that, it’s not just a Roblox thing
It’s funny to think that even the shoddy games on Google Play actually provide real screenshots of the game (sometimes, but they did).
I’m curious to know what experiences don’t follow that weird «rule»
would you rather it be AI slop?
Yeah.. and its great
If games only had an in-game picture as the thumbnail, most of them wouldnt look appealing at all
at least with some of these games its pretty clear what their about like guts and blackpowder (3rd one) is clearly something to do about killing zombies
There’s something, I dunno ironic? To you disliking Roblox gamed doing the same thing non-Roblox indie and triple-a games do all the time. The thumbnail is to be treated like the cover art or whatever the header-like image for Steam games is called. Some show what the game looks like, some give an idea of the emotion or atmosphere or genre they’re trying to portray, and some are simply artistic. That be games. Read the summary, look at other images, and if you absolutely need to find reviews to get your opinion if you don’t want to take the risk of just clicking.
