I feel like this is the most obvious use for vaults, even compared to trial chambers. Locking the highest tier of gear behind a rare item that's only renewable if you already have one is nuts in multiplayer. If you're not on a cooperative server it comes down to a race to raid all the nearby bastions first, otherwise you're stuck trying to steal or bargain for someone else's loot.

  1. The difference is upgrades are by deafult possible to duplicate – if the player is an ahole that won’t share that’s on them.

    yeah the whole “first come first served” thing with netherite templates is broken as hell for multiplayer servers

    Vaults fix an issue with loot in multiplayer, but they really don’t, since they’re only in one specific new structure

    BDogz said they’d “need more time” to figure out how to put them in other structures, but I still think implementing vaults for just one new structure was kind of tacky

    I could make a daypack to fix this later if anyone is interested by adding it as a loot drop to vaults. Wouldn’t be very tricky to do.
