Never even seen a fiddlehead fern IRL, didn’t think they were a real thing!! 😅 TIL they do exist AND can poison you!

I live in the PNW and still really need to try fiddleheads. From how I’ve heard them described, they sound delicious. (Asparagus is my favorite veggie and they sound kinda like a grown-up, earthy version of it) Can you get them at regular stores like Fred Meyer or do you have to go to specialty stores?
