You are just plain wrong. They are villages that have been long abandoned after a zombie raid occured. Pillagers would’ve just killed the villagers and left it as is.
Zombie raids are an actual mechanic, and zombies turning villagers into zombie villagers is a mechanic. It makes way more sense to assume that zombie villagers just got overrun by zombies one night.
