ive given them PLENTY of bread and there are enough beds im pretty sure. Can someone help? this is bedrock edition btw if that matters. maybe there is something wrong with my setup?

The AI’s evolving to the point that it knows injustice and thus is planning the revolution. Do NOT under any circumstances give them a blacksmithing workbench.

Are there any other villagers nearby? Villagers can link to beds and workstations from so far away in bedrock and if the beds are already linked to other villagers, they won’t breed anymore

It’s possible they need even more bread. I usually keep throwing it until they stop picking it up.
Perhaps they, like me, are worried why there’s a chicken involved.
If there are no other villagers in the area, the problem is lack of work stations.
Breeding takes place when a village census reports that there are spare beds, but this only happens for a defined village, so at least one bed, one villager, one work station.
The work station isn’t essential to breeding itself, you could go to a naturally generated village, break them all, and the villagers would still breed, but you need the game to recognise that a village exists where your villagers are, so having them take a job is a way to trigger that.
Economic disparity is making it difficult for them to settle down

On my bedrock worlds they always do it when there’s a roof, light, beds, and ofc a bread-day
They dont like being watched by a chicken.
He gets distracted and takes the chicken instead
Give them composters or something to do.
No doors
You need workstations, you need doors to simulate houses in the village, you need food, you also need double the amount of beds that you currently have
They don’t like each other.
