I’m 99% sure this used to work as a way to escape the end
update: just tried it on 1.0 and 1.2.5 (the version I remember doing it on) and am now having an existential crisis that my vivid memory of testing this back then is straight up wrong (it does not work)

collect 1000 blocks of whatever and bridge to the outer end island, recommend turning it to slavs for more blocks, find a city, find an ender chest out your stuff in. next jump off. get some obsidian and an ender eye and make an ender chest. now collect
