I was brushing my teeth and almost spontaneously I had an idea for a complete mod.
I can basically use some programs like Blockbench… unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to create a mod.
Could someone explain what programs or tools are used to know where to start? Please.

Most important question is do you know Java? If not this [tutorial series](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKGarocXCE1EBIOx2UTpGPZyWMpanSnDj) is pretty great. After that decide which modloader to make the mod for. I personally recommend Neoforge, for which this [series](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKGarocXCE1FMoAF23TXkprPCuKmAdcTg) may be helpful. There is also a [fabric one](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKGarocXCE1H4l8g3c_KoRMsFzBsVjjAx) though. Just remember I am assuming you want to make it for modern versions of Minecraft.
