Don’t judge me to hard I like to play this baked. Is it better to break everything in the quarry ? Or just the minerals? I’ve been doing both but I always forget to track it
I’m in my first save 4 spring year 2 59k current 882k total. I have consumed an insane amount of Stardew valley before playing so I knew some stuff but not at this level

Personally i fill it with kegs
If you’re using the quarry as a quarry and not as extra space, your better off clearing everything. The game chooses random spots to spawn stuff and if a spot is occupied it doesn’t try again for a given spawning attempt.
I just let them be and start clearing some up and wait for a mystic stone to appear after getting a prismatic shard from it i’ll just get a galaxy sword and turn the quarry into something i could make money from
When I’m using it as a quarry I go in once a week. Break all the regular stones, cut down all full grown trees. Repeat until the quarry is full of ore, coal, and gem nodes. Clear the whole thing (bombs are your friend), and start the process over.
Before I get the Mining Mastery I clear it once a week. Afterward, I clear the ores when I have the ore blessing, and I clear all the rocks/coal nodes with the coal blessing. Gem nodes I break as I see them. Mystic Stones I open at the start of the day, and reset if I don’t get a prismatic shard.
I play this game baked almost everyday. It’s my unwind time after long days. It’s my comfort game.
I use bombs to quickly clear it. Kegs and other money making crafting items can basically be placed anywhere so I wouldn’t use the quarry for that. The quarry is a very useful place to get coal and the possibility of a prismatic shard in the early game.
