And since we're talking about player options, the cleric class exists and it receives power from a deity. But the closest we have is the moon lord and the torch god.
Someone commented about the empress of light, but if we do count her, then all the other bosses around her stage of the game would also have that much power. After some back and forth, this scale was born.
Moon Lord was actually placed on the very top, so much that his strongest follower (lunatic cultist) also has the power of a minor deity.
Golem was not placed as a deity, but as a very powerful guardian, with the actual deity being the sun (which the lihzahrds seem to worship)
Do you think this makes any sense?

I mean kinda, but like, they still get beaten so maybe everything except ML is able to be a boss battle

CR goes up to 30 (at least in D&D, im not versed in PF), so you could totally make the Moon Lord a CR 30 fight while relegating the rest of the bosses to other difficulties (Golem, Duke, and the Empress of Light could be CR 26, could make Lunatic Cultist and the lunar pillars CR 28, etc.)
I’d say that if you’re trying to scale everything to how it is in Terraria then everything is 4 levels too high.
Like king slime is level 1 and wall of flesh is 10 ect.

Isn’t the CR supposed to be a rough guide of “a party of 4 people of the same level would find this a decent challenge without being resource intensive”? From that logic, a single player in Terraria can kill every boss, so the fact you have most bosses listed as being so powerful they defy a CR is probably a pretty good sign that your scaling is WAY off.
From a purely game design point though, you want a player to fight all these, since that’s what happens in Terraria. So they’d all need a CR. And from that perspective… you’re still way off.
So, yeah. I’d go with it being “complete bullshit”, as you say.
Feels like Queen Slime and Queen Bee should be move down one tier, Eater and Brain should be moved up one, and Golem should be with the Mechs but otherwise yeah
