In the world of Terraria, the Summoner is the ultimate “manager” class. Instead of swinging a sword or aiming a bow, you command an army of loyal minions and sentries to do the dirty work for you. With Terraria 1.4.5 update, the Summoner class receives its most significant overhaul since the introduction of whips. The focus of this update is to bridge the gap between Summoner and other classes by introducing dedicated weapon modifiers, streamlining minion management, and expanding the arsenal of whips.     I noticed that due to changes with tiki you can chose tiki or spooky since tiki has whip range 30%, 35 defence 30% minion damage and same minions as spooky armour, so you either with tiki have 30% more whip range and 5 more defence or spooky with extra 25% damage and 20% movement speed.

    When I was a kid, and I found out about plantera I always thought she was a refrence to the band pantera and seeing this new whip being called The Vulgar Display of Flower really just made my entire night

    What would you say is the best whip to use against the moonlord? I see conflicting information online and this guide lists so many options. Kaleidoscope, morning star, electric eel, or dark harvest? It seems that kaleidoscope used to be the best but after the nerf its now the morning star? Should I just craft the constellation right away regardless?

    After beating the Wall Of Flesh, what staff should i use? The spider staff or look for a Sanguine Staff instead?

    pumpkin & frost moons are summonable pre golem btw, dark harvest's passive is a match made in heaven for a higher difficulty golem fight

    What is better for bosses, sanguine staff, or blade staff

    I have the blade staff with the modifier that gives 25 armor penetration, so i do 50 penetration. Should i keep that modifier because it won't do much or keep it

    i mean duke fishron is immediately available in hardmode(wings, Electric eel whip, tempest staff and optional the mount) and empress of light(kaleidoscope, terraprisma) and pumpkin moon(raven staff, whip, necromatic beetle, spooky armor and broom) event are post plantera.

    Early game summoner still sucks. Im tryna do a pure summoner class and i literally went through over 30 new worlds looking for the stupid fucking finch staff and i still havent found one. Ever other class has easy to obtain early game weapons but the devs hate the summoner class for some reason even though its the coolest damn class

    Edit: i finally beat her and got the kaleidoscope! but how in the hell is the stardust summons better than the terraprisma?!?!
