I've never been so confused and afraid in stardew when a truffle started moving in the grass, since when have these been in the game?? I'm on my 5th(?) farm and I've literally never seen this thing before.

It’s like the rock monsters in the mines—except a truffle
It’s truffle crab. One of the rock crabs from the mine ganked your truffle instead. It was added in the latest update.
First time I had that happen I was so confused. I thought aliens were invading. lol

Poo, some farm animals (like pigs) poo on the ground. When you pick it.up, make sure to trash it or all other villagers will lose hearts with you when you talk to them with it in your inventory (cuz u’ll stink)
