For Context of the Lich Boss fight:
1. The Lich can be fought normally or via Chess.
2. If fighting normally, the Lich will still use Chess pieces (they can and will checkmate you).
3. If only playing Chess, the Lich will not use any other attacks, just Chess moves.
4. If the Lich is defeated via normal combat means, the Lich will not die and retreat into the King piece (to be resummoned later).
5. Taking the King piece in a game of Chess will instantly kill the Lich, and you will get unique drops for this method.
For Context of the Chess Pieces:
1. They're craftable with Ebonsteel. You can then add Quartz to Ebonsteel pieces for the opposite color.
2. Commander's Wand will allow you to command Chess pieces.
3. Special Ebonsteel Tiles that can be used as a chess board. However, all vanilla concrete blocks will be tagged to be valid chess board blocks.
4. PvP Chess will be easily available. Will be possible to create completely custom boards and pieces amount, go wild. As long as a King is on board of the same color, you can command pieces.
Note: This is all a concept right now, I only have the models done but I am 100%ly certain that I can do this all pretty easily, and depending on the poll happening right now on the discord server for my mods, the Chess pieces will be released early on their own before the Lich boss. This is being made for my mod: "Supernatural", which recently has had a big update that added a new structure with a lot of new materials, including Ebonsteel.
