get your scythe out and start cutting grass. you'll get hay you'll see it pop up on the screen when you get hay and it will automatically go to the silo.
or if you have hay in your hand you can also put it in the silo.
don't forget to make sure your barn and coop are upgraded enough to have auto feeders. each silo can hold 250 hay I think.
