Why isn’t torch god starting?


I've placed over 101 torches, haven't done the event yet. Why isn't it starting? I'm playing calamity but that shouldn't be an issue…

    Try exiting and reentering the world, if that doesn’t work take off anything that produces light on your character then exit and reenter, past few times I’ve done it that’s what worked

    Have you tried the ol’ save and exit and reload? Modded Terraria sometimes glitches and needs the map reloaded.

    try to make it a 50×50 torch square with the last torch being close to the square

    Maybe try to place them around instead with same amount, hopefully that working.
