I attempted to defeat Terraria mitosis where every time I am hit by an enemy or projectile, all mobs will duplicate. This includes even the bosses!

Throarbin? You had around a one in 531,441 chance to NOT get a single shadow key from the Dungeon, based on the 12 golden chests opened in the video. The odds were astronomical

The odd number of WoFs probably happened by it doubling after killing one (or three, etc.) while at least one more was still alive. For a simple example:
Starting with 2 low-health WoFs, finish off 1 of them -> 1 dead, 1 alive
Take damage, so the remaining one duplicates -> 1 dead, 2 alive
Finish off the remaining 2 without taking further hits -> 3 dead
In your case, it was probably
4 alive -> kill 1 for 3 alive -> duplicate to 6 alive -> kill remaining 6 for 7 total

How did you reach 7 walls? 1 turned into 2 and into 4, you kill one down to 3 and then that turns into 6. Then not getting hit again that’s 6 walls plus the one kill before the last dupe.

The chance for someone to not get a golden key in a single one of those chests is 1 in 531441 or 0,00018817% in case anybody wanted to know
