I'm curious which bosses the community struggled with the most on their first playthroughs, as I finished my first playthrough recently and when I came to browse the sub I was surprised by the polar opposite experiences I had with some bosses relative to the community, specifically Golem (who I struggled with but is memed constantly here) and Duke Fishron (who everyone speaks about like fish satan but ended up rolling over for me like sushi). Has anyone else had unique boss fight experiences like this?

I find it funny that golem took 6 attempts. golem is usually meme’d on as the boss fight is pretty easy given normal circumstances. HOWEVER, sometimes the arena is small and/or has bad terrain and makes it pretty rough to avoid the attacks and makes it an endurance fight.
When did you fight Duke? From my experience normal mode duke post golem isn’t that much of a hassle honestly
I don’t think I’ve ever lost to golem, even on my master run, ha.
Empress and golem? You undervalued defense have you not? These 2 just lack the strength to punch through on tier armors
I just entered hardmode and ive encountered only destroyer so far, he absolutely maulded, am i just too weak or is it more of a skill issue?
Pre-Mech Duke Fishron is probably the hardest challenge I’ve ever faced in a video game (albeit I haven’t played that many)
What difficulty is this? Master mode?
