in this latest terraria 1.4.5 bigger and boulder short, we look over a biome that is a little underrated; the undeground desert. you absolutely should be visiting the underground desert first because of all the unique items you can find in sandstone chests, especially in the latest terraria 1.4.5.6 update. There are items like the ancient chisel, encumbering stone, thunder zapper, snake charmer’s flute, and much more. These items can help you a lot in the terraria early game, so try not to skip out on them.

Generally depends on what I'm playing. Cuz if I'm playing melee I'm visiting the above ground desert for cactus armor and sword then going straight to the caves. Mage I will just look for a wand of sparking early game, summoner flinch staff and ranger underground desert
I hate the desert specially those Cactus I've been on a endless death loop because of those they deal so much damage in such little time
Fuck the desert I explored that entire hell scape and didn't get a single conch
Ocean biome, I love getting the underwater chests as early as possible.
Im a summoner, i go ice first always.
No matter what new summons they add, they could never replace my flinx (for very early game)

There's different ways to play Terraria and actually one of the ways is a rogue like. And you're supposed to pick a biome then start digging or following a cave system all the way down as deep as you can f**** go down. Because you want to get as close to hell as possible. Without making a hellevator. And it's just a speed run to beat the Wall of flesh. Usually depending on your biome whatever you get is what you face the Wall of flesh with.

Bombs, then evil biome, u dont get invasions until 200 hp anyways so i can peacefully prepare for them at 180, and the drops from the hearts/orbs are really good

I like how everyone else has their preferred biomes to rush, but I just do whatever tf

i usually rush the snow biome to get the ice blade, flurry boots and the best looking wood in the game (fight me boreal wood is the best looking wood)
I just go to crimson or corruption with bombs and break 2 orbs/hearts to get good loot then fight the evil biome boss with everything I had in my inventory when im prepared to do so.
