  1. MC-308488 is resolved as "Cannot Reproduce" because we found that attribute swapping can still be performed in Pre-Release 2, but it's much harder and more inconsistent, and does not apply to spears.

  2. Since 1.8 pvp is still alive, attribute swapping could definitely still live on in past versions whilst present minecraft sits in a state fairer to all players

  3. Find a way to keep the traversal technique, but remove the other stuff.

I've never been a fan of shrinking TTK too much, and the sword/mace/spear attributing swapping is kinda busted. If they keep it in, they have to balance every weapon around it, which is just going to make it much harder to add new stuff because of something that wasn't even intended.

    Just my two cents.

  4. My 2 cents: if you’re going to remove attribute swapping, do it with a full combat overhaul and rip off the entire bandaid. This technique is only so widely utilised because the core systems leave something to be desired, and in a broken way AS addresses those issues(such as the issue of shielding basically forcing the opponent to take an axe crit to disable your shield). Have a new combat update that fixes those kinds of issues as a supplement to replace attribute swapping and people will eventually flock in to pioneer the next era of MC PVP.

  5. I think it's a little unfair to completely remove a highly-utilized bug that you've knowingly allowed to exist in your game for years. At that point, it's essentially just another feature.

  6. People complaining about this potentially being fixed would be horrible game designers and I'm happy mojang intends to fix it.

Y'all they can't fix pvp if y'all keep abusing bugs lmao. You complain that pvp is garbage, yet abuse non-intended systems that throw balancing out the window.

  7. It def has be change back.. after getting used to it this is the most devastating news I've ever heard for minecraft
Also it has been in the game for YEARSSS, and it wasn't a problem for soo long every pvper that i know loved it and i don't see top players complaining about it.. it makes the pvp unique and more skilled.. which is what makes it fun

  8. Quasi-connectivity was a bug back when they added those redstone components, but after it was reported they made it a feature unlike this and a few other bugs that they've said they'll keep until they change the game in a satisfactory way that might allow a similar result

  9. honestly modern pvpers are getting at this situation incorrectly, the issue ISNT that they patched breach swapping, im completely fine with that. BUT changing how the hotbar inputs are processed making inputs slower is extremely unneccesary and slows down the competitive pvp scene. Making healing pots slower ruins the pot community and makes vanilla/crystal pvp completely unplayable by doubling all input lag. Any gamemode that involve switching to your hotbar fast is ruined, which is basically all of them except sword which requires no hotbar management whatsoever. And overall completely tarnishes fast gameplay. Remove attribute swapping all you want but do not make the gameplay slower for no reason.

  10. People: exploit an obvious, unintended bug, that drastically affect how the PvP game is played
    Mojang: fixes an obvious bug
    People: surprised pikachu face

  11. i think the ppl will just make a mod or something like they did when shield stunning got removed, that can be applicable to the big pvp servers like minemen or mcpvp but not regular smp servers

  12. its funny how many ppl are happy abt this like theres a single pro to this decision 😭 i get it if u dont care bc u dont pvp but it literally ruins so many thing for almost no benefit

  13. Attribute swapping should be considered as an exploit. If you think your good at PVP because you use it your not as good as you think you are especially since I know a lot of people use macro's to swap faster. It's the same as crystal PVP on 2b2t your playing a different game then the base game. I would be willing to bet that some servers will add plugins re-enabling attribute swapping as it most likely happens server side which I'm cool with, servers can have their own rules which is what makes Minecraft fun. Attribute swapping should not be apart of the base game.

As a lot of people have noticed Mojang is trying to build better foundations for the games future and this bug as a feature needs to be addressed for them to implement any real PVP solution.

That being said if Minecraft keeps improving the way it is. I could see the game still stomping 20 years from now even if we have another version split based on PVP like when the removed spam clicking.

  14. Mojang please leave atribite swapping or at least add an enchantment to an item that would allow attibute swapping! Mace pvp wont work without atribute swaping because normal maces deal literaly no damage
